Open Research “Gestione dati ed estrazione di conoscenza per policy makers in ambito climate change”
With Sandro Luigi Fiore (Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science, University of Trento) and
Giulia Galluccio (Centro Euro-Mediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climatici CMCC )

His research activity focuses on data science and learning, scientific data management, big data and artificial intelligence applied to climate change in extreme-scale HPC environments. He has been involved in exascale initiatives such as IESP, EESI and EXDCI as well as several EU projects working on distributed, parallel, and cloud-enabled climate data management.
Giulia Galluccio, head of the CMCC Division on Information Systems for Climate science and Decision-making.Giulia got her Degree in Business Administration at Bocconi University and her PhD on Science and Management of Climate Change at Cà Foscari University of Venice with a thesis titled “The Role of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) in Scaling Up Financial Flows in the Post-Kyoto Regime”. She started her professional experience as researcher at the Corporate Sustainable Management Research Unit at Fondazione ENI Enrico Mattei (FEEM), pursuing her interest in science and sustainable development. She directly coordinates and manages successful proposals, supporting the efficient and effective implementation of planned research activities and she pursues at CMCC her research interest on climate finance and project financing mechanisms.
